OVERVIEW

Join us in Ghana as we serve children and families with a new pair of shoes and message of hope. We’ll also serve in Accra and Cape Coast, while enjoying the beauty of the coast and touring the Cape Coast Castle.

Finance Information

The cost of the mission trip to Ghana is $1,800 + Air. Samaritan’s Feet books all flights to Ghana. We arrange ground transportation, meals, accommodations, exit taxes, trip insurance, shoe supplies, etc., which is all included in the base cost. We make the process very easy for you to engage in missionary work in Ghana! The only additional funds needed will be for souvenirs, COVID-19 tests, and your Visa. An application and $150 deposit are due to secure your spot. All payments can be made directly to Samaritan’s Feet.

Juy 25: Remaining balance due

International & Team Information

You must secure your Visa online for travel to Ghana. This fee, $50 – $100, is not included in the trip cost. Yellow Fever immunization is required for travel to Ghana. Immunizations recommended for travel to Ghana include up-to-date routine vaccinations, Hepatitis A, Polio, Yellow Fever, Malaria, and Typhoid. Please make sure you have your Passport available as it needs to be sent off to receive your Visa. Visit your local Passport Health office or find more information at CDC.gov. Samaritan’s Feet provides additional travel information and tips during training sessions.

You must be 18 years or older to travel on this mission trip to Ghana. This trip is under the leadership of Samaritan’s Feet. We recommend team members for the missionary trip to Ghana and have international mission trip experience.

COVID-19 Policy

Samaritan’s Feet will follow and adhere to individual country requirements regarding COVID-19 testing and vaccination. Team members are responsible for paying for arrival and in-country COVID-19 tests which are not included in the base cost of the trip as they vary and can change. Samaritan’s Feet will help determine the most reliable, cost-effective options and will help coordinate the missionary work process. Team leaders and/or Samaritan’s Feet staff will not remain in-country with COVID-19 positive/quarantined team members and all COVID-19 and medical-related costs will be covered by the individual. Travel insurance is included in your trip cost and that policy does cover some of these expenses.

No, previous mission trip experience is not required. However, participants should be prepared for physically demanding work and cultural immersion. If you are unable to join a mission trip we encourage you to donate to support our work.

 

What is the deadline to apply for the Ghana Mission Trip?
The application deadline is typically 60 days prior to the trip start date. However, it is recommended to apply as early as possible as spots fill up quickly.
