Give Hope and New Shoes with

Carbondale Fundraising Outreach

Please join us as we come together to raise funds to support at least 200 people in the Carbondale community who will be given a new pair of socks and athletic shoes at a distribution taking place on April 12th at the Victory Dream Center, 607 E. College Street, Carbondale from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

SIU hosted an amazing Barefoot Coaching event several weeks ago and we want to build on those efforts to serve at least 200 people in need. A gift of just $30 can provide one person with a Hope Tote that includes a new pair of socks and athletic shoes as well as an uplifting Hope Note. Our goal of $6,000 is possible with your help!

About Samaritan's Feet

Samaritan’s Feet is a non-profit organization that serves and inspires hope in children by providing shoes as the foundation to a spiritual and healthy life resulting in the advancement of education and economic opportunities. Over 30 years ago, a boy in Nigeria, Manny Ohonme, received his first pair of shoes at the age of nine. That simple gifted prompted him to play basketball and follow his dreams, ultimately earning him a college basketball scholarship in the United States. A pair of shoes changed his life. So in 2003, Manny and his wife Tracie, started Samaritan’s Feet with a goal of giving hope through the gift of shoes.
