Give Hope and New Shoes to Children in Tuskegee

From now until March 15, we are raising funds for the “Skegee Service Committee” shoe distribution to bring joy and warmth to the Macon County community during this season. Our mission is to provide our children with much-needed new athletic shoes, new socks, “Hope Tote” bags, love, and encouragement to ensure their comfort, self-esteem, and confidence.

Partnering with Samaritan’s Feet, we aim to make a significant impact on the lives of 200 students at George Washington Carver Elementary in Tuskegee, Alabama April. Each “Hope Tote” contains a new pair of shoes and socks, and cost just $25, so even a small donation can go a long way to brighten a child’s holiday season. In the tradition and spirit of service of Tuskegee University students and alumni, we invite you to help a child “kick off” the holidays and the New Year by sharing the gift of new athletic shoes! Your support will help make this holiday season both joyful &unforgettable for these children.

A donation of just $25 will give a student a new pair of shoes, along with a message of encouragement to follow their dreams.

About Samaritan's Feet

Samaritan’s Feet is a non-profit organization that serves and inspires hope in children by providing shoes as the foundation to a spiritual and healthy life resulting in the advancement of education and economic opportunities. Over 30 years ago, a boy in Nigeria, Manny Ohonme, received his first pair of shoes at the age of nine. That simple gifted prompted him to play basketball and follow his dreams, ultimately earning him a college basketball scholarship in the United States. A pair of shoes changed his life. So in 2003, Manny and his wife Tracie, started Samaritan’s Feet with a goal of giving hope through the gift of shoes.
